Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile information as provided by Google OAuth.

Gmail Data: With your explicit permission, we access your Gmail account using the Gmail API. We do not store the full email content. We only use:

• Message IDs (to determine if a message has already been replied to).
• Email metadata (labels, categories).

Knowledge Base Information: Business and support details you provide for generating automated responses.

Subscription & Payment Data: Processed securely through Stripe (we do not store credit card numbers).

Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics to understand how our website and app are used. This may include cookies, IP addresses, browser type, and usage patterns.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Provide and improve the Mailcue service.
• Generate automated email responses based on your knowledge base.
• Track whether an email has been responded to by the bot or a human.
• Manage your subscription and billing.
• Communicate with you regarding account, support, and updates.
• Ensure compliance with security, legal, and regulatory requirements.

We will never use your Gmail data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

• All user and account data is stored in our self-hosted MySQL database.
• Email message content from Gmail is not stored. Only Message IDs and categories are temporarily stored for functionality.
• If you disconnect your Gmail account, all related data is immediately deleted from our systems.
• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share limited data only with trusted vendors for:

• Authentication: Google (OAuth & Gmail API).
• Payment Processing: Stripe.
• Analytics: Google Analytics.

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their services and are obligated to protect it.

5. Your Control and Choices

You have full control over your data:

• Revoke Gmail Access: You can disconnect Mailcue from your Google account at any time through your Mailcue dashboard or Google account settings.
• Delete Account: You can delete your Mailcue account and all stored data from within your dashboard.
• Update Knowledge Base: You may edit or remove any information you provide to Mailcue.

6. Children's Privacy

Mailcue is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we discover we have unintentionally collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and tracking technologies (such as Google Analytics) to improve user experience and monitor performance. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification.
